Just a reminder that the barn closes at 9pm Sundays and 10pm other days.
The barn furnaces have been turned on, so please make sure the barn doors are kept tightly closed. However the furnaces may be turned off during the day if it's not too cold outside and there are no horses in barn.
Arena heaters are also available for use, so please remember to sign out key and return after you are finished. Make sure you always turn them off, even if the thermostat has turned them off (its supposed to at 0'C), as they will turn back on when it gets cold otherwise and run all night. The people heater runs separately and does not have a key and should only be turned on if there are spectators in the arena.
Blanketing is the responsibility of boarders, not staff (unless you pay extra for this service for inside horses). If you need a blanket taken off or put on and you can't make it out to the stable, you can try phoning Lisa, and if she has time she can do it, but will charge $5 to catch your horse. Any horses found sweating from overblanketing we will remove and charge the $5. If your horse doesn't wear a blanket you don' t have to worry about any of this!
No feed is to be stored in lockers or barns or fed on barn alley as it attracts mice -- please store and feed outside -- this includes treats. As the weather gets colder the mice are going to move in the barn, and its hard to poison them when they have so many better things to eat in everyones lockers! Please keep your lockers clean.

The 4-H club uses the arena one Sunday per month. There are 45 members in 4-H this year, so it will be really busy! Please ride before or after the events (times will be posted here when they are available)
